Turkey Sausage and Sweet Potato Burrito
This delicious and nutritious burrito is filled with turkey sausage, sweet potatoes, and flavorful spices.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salsa - 1/4 cup
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Flour tortillas - 2 large
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, diced
- Red bell pepper - 1, diced
- Sweet potatoes - 2 medium, peeled and diced
- Turkey sausage - 4 links
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sweet potatoes, red bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook until the sweet potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked turkey sausage back to the skillet. Stir in cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
