Torta de Frango
A delicious Brazilian chicken pie, perfect for any meal of the day.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Eggs - 3
- Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
- Flour - 2 cups
- Green olives - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Tomatoes - 2, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, chopped
- Chicken breasts - 2, cooked and shredded
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add the shredded chicken, tomatoes, and olives. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and oil together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spread the chicken mixture on top, then cover with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
