Chalupas
Chalupas are a delicious Mexican dish made with fried tortillas topped with various fillings and toppings.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salsa - 1/2 cup
- Sour cream - 1/2 cup
- Cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Tomatoes - 2, diced
- Lettuce - 1 cup, shredded
- Refried beans - 1 cup
- Chicken breast - 2, cooked and shredded
- Vegetable oil - 1 cup
- Corn tortillas - 8
Let's Get Started
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the corn tortillas one at a time until crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate skillet, heat the refried beans until warm.
- Spread a layer of refried beans on each fried tortilla.
- Top with shredded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and cilantro.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
