Tomato Bread

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes, olive oil, and warm water. Stir until the dough begins to come together.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it on a baking sheet and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake the bread for about 45 minutes, or until it's golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  8. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
