Tofu Stir Fry with Teriyaki Sauce
A delicious and healthy stir fry dish with tofu and a homemade teriyaki sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Teriyaki sauce - 1/2 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Mixed vegetables - 4 cups, fresh or frozen
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Extra firm tofu - 1 block, drained and cubed
Let's Get Started
- Press the tofu to remove excess water and then cut into cubes.
- Heat the oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu to the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the mixed vegetables and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Return the tofu to the pan and add the teriyaki sauce. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- Serve the stir fry topped with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
