Thanksgiving Stuffing
This traditional Thanksgiving stuffing is made with bread, vegetables, and savory herbs.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Chicken broth - 2 cups
- Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh sage - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Carrots - 2 medium, diced
- Celery - 2 stalks, diced
- Onion - 1 large, diced
- Butter - 1/2 cup
- Bread - 1 loaf, cubed
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spread the cubed bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 10 minutes, or until slightly crispy.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion, celery, carrots, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the parsley, sage, and thyme. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the toasted bread cubes and the vegetable mixture.
- Pour the chicken broth over the bread mixture and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve hot as a delicious side dish for Thanksgiving dinner.
