Thai Green Curry Sauce
This Thai green curry sauce is a flavorful and aromatic sauce made with green curry paste, coconut milk, and various spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh cilantro leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Fresh basil leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Green beans - 1 cup, trimmed
- Broccoli florets - 1 cup
- Carrot - 1, sliced
- Bell pepper - 1, sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Coconut milk - 1 can (400ml)
- Green curry paste - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add garlic, ginger, and onion. Sauté until fragrant and onion is translucent.
- Add green curry paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour in coconut milk and stir well to combine with the curry paste.
- Add bell pepper, carrot, broccoli, and green beans. Cook for 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Stir in fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh basil and cilantro leaves.
- Serve the Thai green curry sauce over steamed rice or noodles.
- Garnish with additional fresh basil and cilantro, if desired.
