Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry
This delicious teriyaki chicken stir fry is packed with flavor and loaded with colorful vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cooked rice - 4 cups
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Carrots - 2, julienned
- Bell peppers - 2, sliced
- Broccoli - 2 cups, florets
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Teriyaki sauce - 1/4 cup
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, heat another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add the broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the teriyaki sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables.
- Stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve the teriyaki chicken stir fry over cooked rice.
