Tartiflette
Tartiflette is a traditional French dish made with potatoes, reblochon cheese, bacon, and onions.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon
- White wine - 1/2 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
- Bacon - 8 ounces, diced
- Reblochon cheese - 1 wheel, sliced
- Potatoes - 2 pounds, peeled and sliced
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onions and garlic until softened.
- Add the white wine and cook for 2 minutes, until slightly reduced.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
- Top with half of the cooked bacon, onions, and garlic mixture.
- Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Layer the remaining potatoes on top, followed by the remaining bacon, onions, and garlic mixture.
- Season again with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Arrange the sliced Reblochon cheese on top of the potatoes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
