Tarta de Queso La Viña
This is a classic Spanish cheesecake from La Viña in San Sebastian, Spain. It's creamy, rich, and easy to make.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Eggs - 4
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cream cheese - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add the heavy cream, flour, vanilla extract, and salt and beat until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is still slightly jiggly.
- Let the cheesecake cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove the sides of the pan and let cool completely.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
