Tandoori Paneer
Tandoori paneer is a delicious Indian dish made with marinated paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and cooked in a tandoor or oven.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander - For garnish
- Lemon wedges - For garnish
- Bell peppers - 1, sliced
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Paneer - 400 grams, cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, tandoori masala, lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to make the marinade.
- Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Thread the marinated paneer cubes onto skewers, alternating with onion and bell pepper slices.
- Brush the skewers with oil and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the paneer is slightly charred and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with lemon wedges and fresh coriander.
- Serve hot with naan bread or rice.
