Chicken Korma
Chicken Korma is a traditional Indian dish that's light and flavorful almond curry made with tomato paste, plenty of spices and cream thats buttery and completely delicious.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander - For garnish
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Spices (coriander, cumin, turmeric, garam masala) - 1 tablespoon each
- Cream - 1/2 cup
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Almonds - 1/4 cup, ground
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Chicken breasts - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the onions and cook until they are golden brown.
- Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.
- Add the chicken and cook until it is no longer pink.
- Add the tomato paste, ground almonds, spices, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Add the yogurt and cream, stirring continuously until the sauce is well mixed.
- Cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
