Tandoori Fish
This flavorful Tandoori Fish recipe features marinated fish fillets cooked in a traditional tandoor oven or grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon wedges - For serving
- Fresh cilantro - For garnish
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Fish fillets - 4 pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to make the marinade.
- Add the fish fillets to the marinade and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill or tandoor oven to medium-high heat.
- Brush the grill grates or tandoor oven with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the marinated fish fillets on the grill or in the tandoor oven and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a charred exterior.
- Remove the fish from the grill or tandoor oven and garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
