Tandoori Chicken Burger
This flavorful Tandoori Chicken Burger is made with marinated chicken, spices, and served with a tangy yogurt sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Mayonnaise - 4 tablespoons
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4
- Burger buns - 4
- Red chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
- Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Chicken breasts - 4 boneless, skinless
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Grill the marinated chicken breasts for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise.
- Add a grilled chicken breast on top of the lettuce.
- Top with sliced tomato and onion.
- Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the Tandoori Chicken Burgers with a side of yogurt sauce or chutney, if desired.
