Sweet and Spicy Burger
A juicy burger with a sweet and spicy twist, topped with caramelized onions and spicy mayo.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 4 leaves
- Burger buns - 4
- Sriracha sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Onions - 2, thinly sliced
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the onions and brown sugar. Cook until the onions are caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Cook the patties on a grill or in a skillet over medium heat until desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium.
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce.
- Spread the spicy mayo on the bottom of the burger buns. Top with the burger patties, caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato. Cover with the top bun and serve.
