Suya
Suya is a popular Nigerian street food made with grilled skewered meat coated in a spicy peanut marinade.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cucumber - 1 medium, sliced (for garnish)
- Tomatoes - 1 medium, sliced (for garnish)
- Onions - 1 medium, sliced (for garnish)
- Skewers - 8
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon

- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 2 teaspoons
- Peanuts - 1 cup, roasted and ground
- Beef or chicken - 1 pound, thinly sliced

- In a bowl, combine the ground peanuts, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to make the suya spice mix.
- Thread the thinly sliced meat onto skewers.
