Sushi Rice Bowl
This sushi rice bowl is a delicious and convenient way to enjoy the flavors of sushi in a bowl.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Nori sheets - 2, cut into strips
- Radish - 4, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1 1/2 cups
- Sushi rice - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Microwave for 30 seconds to dissolve the sugar.
- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and pour the vinegar mixture over it. Gently fold the rice to coat it with the vinegar mixture. Let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Divide the sushi rice between two bowls. Top with avocado, cucumber, carrot, radish, nori strips, sesame seeds, and green onions.
- Drizzle the soy sauce and sesame oil mixture over the rice bowls.
- Serve and enjoy!
