Sticky Rice Sausage

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
  2. In a large pan, sauté the Chinese sausage over medium heat until it's browned and crispy.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Drain the rice and add it to the pan, stirring to combine with the sausage and garlic.
  5. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil to the pan, stirring to evenly coat the rice and sausage.
  6. Add the water to the pan and bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and sticky.
  8. Stir in the chopped green onions just before serving.
