Steak Tacos
These delicious steak tacos are made with marinated grilled steak, fresh toppings, and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salsa - 1/4 cup
- Sour cream - 1/4 cup
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Tomatoes - 2, diced
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Tortillas - 8
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1/4 cup
- Flank steak - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet.
- Slice the grilled steak into thin strips.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of steak on each tortilla. Top with sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, chopped cilantro, sour cream, and salsa.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
