Steak and Mushroom Stir Fry
This delicious steak and mushroom stir fry is packed with flavor and perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cooked rice - 4 cups
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Flank steak - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet and add the soy sauce. Stir to coat the steak and mushrooms with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
