Spicy Chicken Tikka Masala
A popular Indian dish made with spicy marinated chicken cooked in a creamy tomato sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh cilantro - For garnish
- Salt - To taste
- Cream - 1 cup
- Tomato sauce - 2 cups
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 2 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Yogurt - 1 cup
- Boneless chicken - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the chicken, yogurt, lemon juice, turmeric, garam masala, cayenne pepper, ginger, and garlic. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the tomato sauce, cream, and salt. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with basmati rice or naan bread.
