Spaghetti Con Salsiccia E Funghi
A delicious Italian pasta dish made with sausage and mushrooms in a flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Red wine - 1/2 cup
- Tomato sauce - 2 cups
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, chopped
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Italian sausage - 1 pound, casings removed
- Spaghetti - 12 ounces
Let's Get Started
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and the onion is translucent.
- Add the cooked sausage back to the skillet and pour in the tomato sauce and red wine. Stir in the dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Serve the spaghetti con salsiccia e funghi hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.
