Herbed Lentil Burgers

  1. Rinse the lentils and place them in a pot with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the lentils are tender, about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain the lentils and let them cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooled lentils, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into four patties.
