Sopaipilla Pie
Sopaipilla Pie is a delicious Mexican-inspired dessert made with a flaky pastry crust and a sweet cinnamon-sugar filling.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Honey - 1/4 cup
- Ground cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
- Granulated sugar - 1 cup
- Butter - 1/2 cup, melted
- Puff pastry sheets - 2 sheets
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Place one sheet of puff pastry in the bottom of the pie dish, trimming any excess.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Spread half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the puff pastry in the pie dish.
- Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press the edges to seal.
- Spread the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top of the pie.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
- Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
