Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  3. Add fish fillets and cook for 5 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  4. Remove the fish from the pot and set aside.
  5. Add tamarind paste, fish sauce, sugar, red chili, tomato, and onion to the pot. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked fish to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro.
