Sipo Egg
Sipo Egg is a Filipino dish made with quail eggs, ground pork, and vegetables in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Chicken broth - 1 cup
- Evaporated milk - 1 cup
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 small, chopped
- Green peas - 1/2 cup
- Potato - 1 medium, diced
- Carrots - 1 medium, diced
- Ground pork - 250 grams
- Quail eggs - 16
Let's Get Started
- Boil the quail eggs for 5 minutes, then peel and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ground pork and cook until browned.
- Add the carrots, potato, and green peas. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and simmer until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the evaporated milk and grated cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the boiled quail eggs and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
