Sesame Tofu Stir Fry
This delicious sesame tofu stir fry is packed with flavor and nutritious ingredients.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1, thinly sliced
- Broccoli florets - 2 cups
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Firm tofu - 1 block, cubed
Let's Get Started
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of sesame oil and sauté the garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
- Add the broccoli, carrot, and red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce and honey. Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the skillet.
- Add the cooked tofu back to the skillet and toss everything together to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the tofu is heated through.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
- Serve the sesame tofu stir fry over steamed rice or noodles.
