Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until well combined.
  5. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the lemon zest.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.
  9. Allow the sernik to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, dust the top of the sernik with powdered sugar.
  11. Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
