Ingredients - Serves 8
- Powdered sugar - For dusting
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Eggs - 4
- All-purpose flour - 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Sour cream - 1 cup
- Granulated sugar - 1 cup
- Cream cheese - 24 oz (3 packages), softened
- Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, melted
- Graham cracker crumbs - 1 1/2 cups
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the lemon zest.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.
- Allow the sernik to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, dust the top of the sernik with powdered sugar.
- Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
