Sausage and Apple Hashbrowns
A hearty and delicious breakfast dish combining savory sausage, sweet apples, and crispy hashbrowns.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, diced
- Hashbrowns - 4 cups, frozen
- Apples - 2, cored and diced
- Sausage - 1 pound, ground
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced apples, hashbrowns, onion, and garlic. Cook until the hashbrowns are crispy and the apples and onions are softened.
- Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the hash. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt.
- Serve the hash hot, with additional salt and pepper to taste if desired.
