Western Omelette
This hearty Western omelette is filled with ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup, shredded
- Onion - 1/4 cup, diced
- Bell peppers - 1/2 cup, diced
- Ham - 1/2 cup, diced
- Eggs - 4
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper.
- Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced ham, bell peppers, and onion to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Pour the beaten eggs over the cooked vegetables and ham in the skillet.
- Cook the omelette for 2-3 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over one half of the omelette.
- Fold the other half of the omelette over the cheese.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked through.
- Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
