Roz Bel Laban
Roz bel Laban is a traditional Egyptian rice pudding made with milk, rice, sugar, and flavored with rose water and cinnamon.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Pistachios - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Rose water - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Rice - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 4 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.
- Add the rice and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens.
- Add the sugar, rose water, and cinnamon. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Divide the rice pudding into serving bowls.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
