Roasted Pork Ramen
This flavorful roasted pork ramen is made with tender pork, rich broth, and delicious toppings.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Nori sheets - 4
- Soft-boiled eggs - 4
- Green onions - 4, sliced
- Ramen noodles - 4 packs
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Dried shiitake mushrooms - 1 ounce
- Chicken broth - 8 cups
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Pork shoulder - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Rub the pork shoulder with the soy sauce mixture, making sure to coat it evenly.
- Place the pork shoulder on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds.
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Then, shred the meat using two forks.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the dried shiitake mushrooms and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the sesame oil in a separate pan and sauté the sliced green onions for 2-3 minutes.
- To assemble the ramen bowls, divide the cooked noodles among 4 bowls. Top with the shredded pork, sliced green onions, soft-boiled eggs, and nori sheets.
- Pour the hot chicken broth with mushrooms over the toppings in each bowl.
- Serve the roasted pork ramen hot and enjoy!
