A succulent roast pork loin paired with sweet and tangy apples for a delightful main course.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- White wine - 1/2 cup
- Chicken broth - 1 cup
- Rosemary - 1 tablespoon, fresh or dried
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Apples - 3, cored and sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Pork loin - 1 (2 pound)
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the pork loin with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork loin and sear on all sides until browned.
- Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the apples, onion, garlic, and rosemary. Cook until the apples and onions are softened.
- Add the chicken broth and white wine to the skillet, scraping the bottom to loosen any browned bits.
- Return the pork loin to the skillet, nestling it in the apples and onions.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for about 60-75 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.
- Let the pork rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving with the apples and onions.
