Astakomakaronada
Astakomakaronada is a traditional Greek dish, a delicious pasta recipe with a whole lobster in a rich tomato sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parsley - 1/2 bunch, chopped
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- White wine - 1/2 cup
- Tomatoes - 5 ripe, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Olive oil - 1/2 cup
- Spaghetti - 500 grams
- Lobster - 1 whole, about 1.5 kg
Let's Get Started
- Boil the lobster in a pot with salted water for about 20 minutes, then remove it from the pot and let it cool.
- Remove the meat from the lobster, cut it into pieces and keep it aside.
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil and sauté the onions until they become translucent.
- Add the garlic and continue sautéing for a few more minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, wine, salt, and pepper, and let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Add the lobster meat to the sauce and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water according to the package instructions.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the pot with the sauce. Mix well to combine.
- Serve the pasta with the lobster pieces on top and sprinkle with the chopped parsley.
