Ricotta and Spinach Stuffed Shells
Jumbo pasta shells stuffed with creamy ricotta and spinach filling, topped with more cheese and baked on top of hearty red sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Marinara sauce - 2 cups
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Egg - 1
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Spinach - 2 cups, cooked and drained
- Ricotta cheese - 2 cups
- Jumbo pasta shells - 24 shells
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, spinach, Parmesan, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Stuff each pasta shell with a generous amount of the ricotta and spinach mixture and arrange in the baking dish.
- Top with the shredded mozzarella.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
