Rice Dumplings

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the glutinous rice and bamboo leaves in water overnight.
  2. Marinate the pork belly with soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, sugar, and cooking wine for at least 1 hour.
  3. Boil the bamboo leaves for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  4. Take two bamboo leaves and overlap them. Fold them into a cone shape.
  5. Fill the cone with a layer of rice, then add the pork, egg yolk, mushrooms, and shrimps. Top with another layer of rice.
  6. Fold the leaves over the rice and secure with a string.
  7. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Steam the dumplings for 2 hours.
  9. Let them cool before unwrapping and serving.
