  3. Add the pork belly to the pot and stir until all the pieces are coated with the caramel.
  4. Add the water, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger, garlic, and green onions to the pot.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
  6. Simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve the red-braised pork with steamed rice.
