Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the red kidney beans in water overnight or for at least 8 hours.
  2. Drain the water and rinse the beans. Add them to a pressure cooker with 3 cups of water and cook for 20-25 minutes or until they are soft and tender.

  4. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  6. Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  7. Add the cooked beans along with the water they were cooked in. Mix well and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
  8. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
