Pull Apart Dinner Rolls

Ingredients - Serves 12

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is foamy.
  2. Add the sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. Cover the dish with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
  8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  10. Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with a little extra melted butter, if desired. Serve warm.
