Prawn Masala
A spicy and flavorful Indian dish made with prawns cooked in a tomato and onion based masala gravy.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Coriander leaves - For garnish
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Tomatoes - 2, finely chopped
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Prawns - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Saute until they turn golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger and saute for a few more minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
- Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the prawns and cook until they turn pink.
- Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
