Prawn Fried Rice with Basmati Rice

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the prawns and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced carrots and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Push the carrots to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until cooked.
  6. Add the cooked basmati rice to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  7. Add the peas, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Finally, add the cooked prawns back to the pan and toss everything together until well combined.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
