Pork Ribs with a Red Wine Glaze
These tender pork ribs are glazed with a rich, tangy red wine reduction, perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Red wine - 2 cups
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Pork ribs - 2 racks
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 275°F.
- Season the pork ribs with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pan over medium heat. Add the ribs and sear on all sides until browned.
- Remove the ribs from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the red wine, brown sugar, garlic, and rosemary. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sugar is dissolved.
- Return the ribs to the pan and spoon some of the glaze over the top.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 2 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F.
- Remove the foil and spoon more glaze over the ribs. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
