Ingredients - Serves 4
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Apple cider - 1 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Pork chops - 4
Let's Get Started
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the apple cider, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and cook until they are cooked through and the sauce is thick and glossy, about 10 minutes.
