Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and chili peppers and stir-fry for a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the squid and stir-fry for a couple of minutes until it turns opaque.
  4. Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sugar, and stir well to combine.
  5. Continue to stir-fry for another couple of minutes until everything is well coated and the squid is cooked through.
  6. Turn off the heat and stir in the basil leaves until they wilt from the residual heat.
  7. Serve the Pla Muak Pad Prick hot with steamed rice.
