  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sliced Thai chili peppers. Stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken or shrimp to the pan and cook until they are cooked through.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the pan. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the fish sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and stir to coat the ingredients.
  7. Add the cooked rice noodles to the pan and toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Add the basil leaves and stir-fry for another minute until the basil wilts.
  9. Remove from heat and serve the drunken noodles hot, garnished with lime wedges.
