- Basil leaves - A handful
- Tomato sauce - 200 grams
- Mozzarella cheese - 200 grams, shredded
- Pizza dough - 500 grams

- Prepare the pizza dough and let it rise for about 2 hours.
- Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Roll out each ball into a small circle.
- On one half of each circle, place a spoonful of tomato sauce, a sprinkle of mozzarella, and a few basil leaves. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
- Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry each pizza fritta until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with a little salt before serving.
