Calzone Napoletano
A traditional Italian folded pizza, filled with cheese, ham, and mushrooms.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - To taste
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Tomato sauce - 200 ml
- Mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
- Ham - 100 grams, sliced
- Mozzarella cheese - 200 grams, shredded
- Pizza dough - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
- Roll out the pizza dough into a circle.
- Spread the tomato sauce over half of the dough, leaving a border around the edge.
- Top with the mozzarella cheese, ham, and mushrooms.
- Fold the dough over to enclose the filling and crimp the edges to seal.
- Brush the top of the calzone with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
