  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.
  4. Add the cooked sausage back to the skillet, along with the pinto beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
