  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, pineapple, and vanilla. Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is baking, make the icing by combining the melted butter, powdered sugar, and evaporated milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour the icing over the warm cake. Let the cake cool completely before serving.
