  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the steaks to the skillet and sear on one side for 3 minutes.
  5. Flip the steaks and add the butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet.
  6. Baste the steaks with the butter mixture and sear for another 3 minutes.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the steaks reach your desired level of doneness.
  8. Let the steaks rest for a few minutes before serving with the garlic herb butter from the skillet.
